Gabriele Frantzen is a designer brand which is committed to craftsmanship and quality. Clear in function and playful in design, Gabriele´s vision is to create pieces that maintain relevance over time.
One perfect example is her iconic belt bag. Paired with interchangeable straps and chains, it can not only be worn crossbody or over the shoulder, but also be redesigned individually again and again. It is not a coincidence that a recurring symbol on many of Gabriele´s pieces is a scarab, representing rebirth and eternal life. The product portfolio of her ever-evolving collection ranges from all time classics like leather clutches and phone bags to hero pieces from handcrafted raffia- to extraordinary shearling- bags.
It all started with a statement necklace in 2009. Because Gabriele couldn’t find what she was looking for, she created one herself. She called it „Sense and Sensibility“, wore it on the streets of New York City and was discovered by Fern Mallis, the founder of NY Fashion Week. Sak´s Fifth Avenue became her first retail partner. The necklace shown from the pages of Vogue, Harper´s Bazaar and sparkled on the Oscars Red Carpet, to which Gabriele was also invited. In recent years, her designs have been worn and personalized by some of the most unique next-gen style icons around - from Leandra Medine to Olivia Palermo and Giovanna Battaglia.
Originally based in Munich, Gabriele began her career in fashion by running the multi brand store Frantzen&Frantzen. In 2003 she founded her multi brand distribution agency Best of 19. Her epenonymous brand is now represented by stores all over the world. Her pieces can be found not only at the big industry players and in well-known department stores, but also at hidden gems and in selected boutiques. Her manufacturers also come from all over: Denmark, Germany, Italy and Madagascar. Like Gabriele herself, they do not compromise on quality and have the greatest expertise in their field.
In Summer 2024 Gabriele opened her next chapter:
She had been searching for the perfect beach shirt for years. She presented her concept to Seidensticker in 2023 and they pooled their respective expertise.
